The team at Santa Cruz CORE Fitness+ Rehab an integrative wellness center, celebrated their third anniversary on Saturday, June 30th and donated 100% of the grand prize raffle proceeds  to Second Harvest.

The action-packed afternoon was filled with informative demonstrations by Santa Cruz CORE staff and amazing music by Mr. Cooper (the adorable all girls band), Dressed in Roses and other local musicians. Every half hour one of the raffle prizes donated by generous local vendors was drawn. The grand prizes, which included a year’s worth of massages and two lifestyle makeovers, were given out just before the event wrapped up.  The totals are still being tallied but at last count Santa Cruz CORE raised over 10,000 meals for their neighbors in need.

About Second Harvest:

Second Harvest was the first food bank in California and is the second oldest in the nation. Second Harvest works to end hunger and malnutrition by educating and involving the community. Through our network of 200 agencies and programs and their 3,000 volunteers, they distribute over 7.3 million pounds of food annually to working poor families, children, and seniors with a mission is end hunger and malnutrition by educating and involving the community. Their vision is to use 95 cents of every dollar for program services while increasing the distribution of healthy foods and nutrition education. Santa Cruz CORE will be donating 100 % of the proceeds from the event's raffle to Second Harvest Food Bank of Santa Cruz County.

Thank you Santa Cruz!
