I started an exercise program at Santa Cruz Core Fitness and was increasing my muscle mass, but not losing weight.  With the direction of my trainer Jaimi, I tried various methods to lose weight—reducing portion sizes, keeping a food journal, and adding cardio to my workout. However, none of these methods were able to help me lose more than a few pounds or so because I wasn't diligent about keeping my food journal and making good food choices.  Since I started an exercise program, I actually became hungrier and ate more food sometimes. So, basically even though I was increasing strength and stamina, I still felt overweight and not happy with what I saw in the mirror.

In September, Jaimi suggested I try working with her and have her coach me through her new nutrition program, Take Shape for Life. She said it would help me to lose the weight quickly if I committed to it for three months in conjunction with exercise.  I ordered my product and started the Take Shape for Life program. During the first week, I was hungry and grumpy. I spoke to Jaimi about my concerns and she recommended adding one more meal per day.  I did so and the grumpiness and hunger went away. Plus, I started to lose weight.  Over the course of three months, I lost 22 pounds and lost 5 inches in my waist.  Some of the food tastes really good so you don’t feel deprived. I would definitely recommend Take Shape for Life as a jumpstart to a weight loss program so you can see results quickly.

Jared has been my personal trainer for over 6 months. I have lost 30 pounds and countless inches. He is an excellent trainer. He is very focused on making sure you have the correct form in every exercise we do whether it is on equipment or free form. He demonstrates very effectively each movement to ensure that I get the maximum results. He is extremely knowledgeable not only with mapping out the right program to meet individual needs but in nutrition as well. I highly recommend him as a personal trainer. He has a great positive attitude and dedicated approach to his clients. He has really inspired me to get healthy and into shape.

Ok.  found the best trainer ever.
Love love Jared.  He is so great.  He is very creative and gives me new workouts every time we meet.

I can then mix and match.

I like that he focuses on the core excercises as I really need that.

He teaches me how do an exercise so that several parts of the body are being used.

He is big on the phsyio ball which is great for balance.  

I feel great.  And I don't know another trainer that actually calls you like a week after your session to see how you are doing.

Sometimes he just texts to check in..  I so appreciate that.  

I recommend Jared highly.   He is sweet, just listens to me complaining how hard it is, shows that killer smile, and says you can do it.

In the beginning, I thought I would never lose weight (I know, because I tried for five years and no such luck).
